Fares are correct (E&OE) at January 1, 2008 and variations may occur subsequent to that date.
WHAT IS INCLUDED

Fares quoted in this brochure are ex-Melbourne. Fares include transfers, ship, air or rail travel, comfort-plus Young at Heart coach travel, with seat belts for all passengers, 3 to 4 star quality motels, all meals, most morning and afternoon teas, admittances, cruises, scenic flights, etc. as per the detailed itinerary. Items of a personal nature, drinks, phone calls, etc. are not included in your fare.

HOME PICK UP

Home pick up and return is included in the metropolitan area of all capital cities. For Melbourne passengers Young at Heart will organise the time of pick up and the transfer details and advise you accordingly. This service is not available for other capital cities, however, we deduct $50 per person from your fare and ask you to arrange your own transfer to the airport.

MEALS

Meals included in your fare are coded at the beginning of each day of the itinerary.
B = cooked breakfast, L = light lunch, D = 3 course dinner, with choices

LUXURY COACH TRAVEL:

 The Young at Heart group operate a fleet of luxury small coaches. Large reclining seats, seat belts for all, individually controlled air conditioning, air bag suspension, panoramic windows, curtains, PA and music system. A maximum of eighteen passengers per tour on most departures.

BOOKINGS

 Bookings are welcome by phone, mail or in person. Confirmation deposits are required within 7 days, and all bookings are tentative until confirmed by receipt of deposit. Deposit and final balance requirements are set out in the details for each holiday. Please make all cheques payable to Young at Heart Travel. Payment is also available using EFTPOS, Mastercard or Visa.

OVERSEAS HOLIDAYS

Booking and payment conditions vary for each overseas holiday and are set out in the detailed itinerary. These may vary from the general conditions printed on this page.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

 Travel insurance is highly recommended. It is available from Young at Heart and other travel insurance sellers, and subject to conditions, (including pre-existing illnesses), covers cancellation, due to illness of you or a family member or travelling companion, loss of luggage, interruption of journey, and additional expenses.


FARES:

All fares listed in this brochure are subject to variation prior to receipt of final payment. Should any variation be unacceptable to booked passengers, a full refund of all money paid will be available. Fares for passengers flying from airports other than Melbourne are subject to availability of suitable flights and air fares.

CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL


1. Young at Heart Travel makes all arrangements for its tours using the services of other providers of accommodation, air and ground transport, meals, attractions, both individuals and companies. In these conditions, all such providers are referred to as “the principal”.
2. The Company acts as agent for all principals and the Company shall not be liable for any loss, delay or damage suffered by a passenger or his/her property, in consequence of any act, omission, default or negligence by any principal or any subcontractor of any principal.
3. Neither Young at Heart Travel, or any servant or agent shall be liable for any loss, delay or damage suffered by a passenger or his/her property, in consequence of any act, omission, default or negligence of Young at Heart Travel, its servants or agents.
4. Passengers agree to indemnify Young at Heart Travel, its servants or agents against any claim, demand or judgement or damage made or awarded for all actions arising from items 1 to 3 above.
5. The tour proposals set out in this booklet and the passengers acceptance by completion of a booking form creates an agreement between Young at Heart Travel and the passenger subject to the law of the State of Victoria. Completion of the booking form together with the passenger’s signature, verifies acceptance of these terms and conditions.
6. Young at Heart Travel (and its principals) reserves the right to alter any published itinerary if Young at Heart Travel believes such alteration is in the best interests of passenger safety, well-being or enjoyment.
7. Young at Heart Travel, and its contract operators accept no responsibility for delays or financial losses caused by the inability of any other operator used in this holiday to provide services described in this brochure due to cessation of business, bankruptcy or any other reason.
8. Young at Heart Travel reserves the right to substitute vehicles of a lesser standard should this be unavoidable due to mechanical failure, delay or any other genuine reason.
9. Young at Heart Travel accepts no responsibility for the behaviour of any employee, representative or agent of any motel, attraction, café, restaurant or similar venue associated with this tour or for events arising from such behaviour.
10. No passenger will be permitted to commence or continue this tour if, in the opinion of Young at Heart Travel or its agents, their physical or mental condition makes them unable to care for themselves or their behaviour becomes objectionable to other passengers. Young at Heart Travel will not be responsible for any additional expense due to any such curtailment.
11. Receipts for deposits or final payments from travel agents do not constitute payment to Young at Heart Travel until such money is received by and available to Young at Heart Travel.
12. A minimum number of bookings is required for the tour to be financially viable and to achieve an enjoyable group atmosphere. If such numbers are not achieved passengers may at their option receive a full refund or transfer to another tour.
